Record Store Day 2026
New spins, new sips, and a brand‑new poster to add to your collection.
Here at Dogfish Head, we’ve always been beer geeks with a music problem ... which is why it feels so natural to team up with the fine folks of Record Store Day year after year. Now rolling into our 11th year as the Official Beer of Record Store Day, we’re once again bringing together independent beer and independent record stores ... with an off-centered twist!
For 2026, we’re turning up the volume with a full lineup of musically inspired goodness from a brand‑new official Record Store Day poster, to yet another volume of On A Back Porch, the continuation of our beer collaborations with the Grateful Dead, and so much more!
Dogfish Head × Grateful Dead: A collaboration that keeps spinning
Our collaboration with the Grateful Dead stretches back more than a decade. The journey began in 2013 with the release of American Beauty and has continued through re‑releases, evolutions, and all kinds of creative experiments along the way. Together, we’ve brewed beers inspired by the band’s spirit, pressed records that capture the warmth of live Grateful Dead performances and created artwork that nods to their iconic visual universe.
This year, that story keeps unfolding with not one, but TWO collaborative brews to sip on while you’re drinking in your favorite music. Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale, a bright, citrus-forward pale ale built for easygoing moments, made its debut last year and continues to be a hit for jam sessions, porch hangs, and moments where time stretches out. NEW for 2026 is our Grateful Dead Citrus Daydream Lager: a crisp, clean, super‑sessionable lager kissed with citrus that’s brewed for sunshine, good vibes, and days that feel like a daydream.
You can track down both beers at your favorite local retailer or use our Fish Finder to locate them near you. Crack a can, take a sip, and let your mind wander a little.
And now ... On A Back Porch, Vol. III
Our vinyl tradition with the Grateful Dead keeps spinning this year with On A Back Porch, Vol. III, the latest installment in our collaborative series built for unhurried moments from hanging with friends to watching the sun dip low and letting the music wander right along with you.
For this volume, Sam and his son Sammy once again teamed up with Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux to dig through decades of live recordings. Their mission was simple: find performances that feel like back‑porch listening.
Together, they hand‑picked a lineup that spans eras and moods, weaving classics, deep cuts, and a few “if you know, you know” gems into one sun‑soaked mix that pairs perfectly with your favorite off-centered beer to drink music to.
You can snag a copy on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at select independent record stores.
This year’s official Record Store Day poster: A Dylan Goldberger original
For 2026, our pal Dylan Goldberger, who just so happens to be our 2026 Season‑Ales artist and a Brooklyn-based illustrator known for his bold lines, playful characters, and gritty‑meets‑whimsical style, created this year’s official Record Store Day poster.
Dylan’s piece is a love letter to the intersection of music and beer: vibrant, kinetic, and unmistakably off-centered. Expect layered textures, hidden Easter eggs, and a visual rhythm that feels like it could’ve been pulled straight from the Grateful Dead visual universe.
You’ll be able to snag this FREE, limited-edition print at participating independent record stores on Record Store Day (while supplies last), as well as our coastal Delaware spots throughout the weekend.
