Brewed in collaboration with long time friends of Dogfish George Hummel and Nancy Rigberg of Philadelphia’s Home Sweet Homebrew, Giotto’s Blues is a spiced Belgian Dark Strong Ale. A beautiful deep mahogany hue with ruby highlights, Giotto’s Blues has a firm malty background which gives way to notes of licorice root, star anise and black pepper with hints of citrus and stone fruit.

Tapping just in time to bring in the end of summer, this is a perfect brew for cooler fall evenings. The inspiration and name for this beer came from a poem by late friend of the Philadelphia beer community and great beer lover Paul Coff.
