Part beer, part wine, part mead and 2,700 years in the making! Midas Touch was inspired by remnants found in ancient drinking vessels associated with King Midas and brought to life with the help of biomolecular archaeologist Dr. Patrick McGovern. It became our first Ancient Ale, kicking off a years-long adventure with Dr. Pat to explore what people were brewing and drinking thousands of years before us.
Brewed with barley, honey, Muscat grapes and saffron, this 9.0% ABV brew is medium-bodied and lightly warming, with notes of honey, orchard fruits and subtle earthy spice, followed by a crisp, vinous finish. A little beer. A little wine. A little mead ... and 100% off-centered.
